A Dream Taking Root: Our Off-Site Campus at Ghotavade

More than a decade ago, we set our sights on a vision—an ambitious dream of creating a space that would embody our commitment to holistic education and sustainable living. We envisioned a sanctuary where learning extends beyond classrooms, a place where nature and knowledge intertwine seamlessly.

Our students are actively engaging with their learning blocks at Terra—covering Farming, Direction, House building, Botany and Orientation.

Grade 3 is deeply connected to themes like farming, housebuilding and human work. The students benefit from hands-on activities, such as ploughing, transplanting, harvesting and building a structure. This turns learning from abstract into real lived experiences.

The students also march to the Terra farms to plant, harvest and care for the crops. The fields, trees, and open space help develop their observation skills, build emotional connection to nature, experience seasonal rhythms firsthand and encourage curiosity and imagination.

The natural environment—the fields, trees, and wide-open spaces—offer something that an urban setting cannot fully replicate. While it is true that one can grow plants on a Mumbai balcony, observe construction through the ever-present metro work, or play in the city’s gullies, these experiences are often fragmented, hurried, or observed from a distance. At Terra, students are immersed in a slower, more connected rhythm of life. They experience the cycles of nature firsthand, develop keen observation skills, and build a deep emotional relationship with the natural world. This immersion invites curiosity, imagination, and a sense of wonder that is often difficult to access within the constraints of a city.

Stepping away from the urban environment is therefore intentional. It allows students to disconnect from the noise, speed, and structure of city life, and reconnect with fundamental human experiences—working with the earth, creating shelter, and understanding the origins of daily life.

These life-skill-based experiences are central to our education at Tridha, and Terra provides an authentic and meaningful context in which they can unfold.

As we move forward, we eagerly anticipate the growth of Terra Forest. This is not just a project, it is a legacy in the making.

Together, we build. Together, we grow.
